Whose dates are these?

Neither is a real couple. Both dates are public reference points that anyone can check. The Smithsonian gives 1 January 2000 as 11 Ik' 10 K'ank'in and 21 December 2012, the end of the 13th bak'tun, as 4 Ajaw 3 K'ank'in. [1] Our calculator converts each date the same way: Julian Day Number − 584,283 = days; number = ((days + 3) mod 13) + 1; day sign = (days + 19) mod 20. For 21 December 2012 that is 2,456,283 − 584,283 = 1,872,000 days. That gives number 4 and day sign index 19, Ajaw. [2] The report shows the Dreamspell names of the two numbers ("Spectral" for 11, "Self-Existing" for 4) and labels them as a modern Dreamspell layer on its methodology page.

About the score

The percentage is a modern synthesis of five things: the distance between the two numbers, the distance between the two day signs, and the element, direction and color assigned to each sign. The report says plainly that "it is not a historical Maya matching rite". Changing the relationship lens changes the wording, not the number. Read it as a starting angle for conversation, not as a verdict. Our compatibility page describes it as "a modern interpretive feature, not a documented historical Maya matching formula".

Two excerpts, word for word

From page 7, "Friction and Repair":

"If the relationship stalls, do not debate character. Restore sequence: let 11 Ik drop what is finished before adding more, then let 4 Ahau give the bond a usable shape and boundary."

From page 10, "Seven-Day Practice":

"Day 4: Notice who reaches and who waits, without scoring it."

Questions

What do I need to order?
Two birth dates and the relationship type: general, romantic, friendship or work. Each date is converted to a traditional day sign and number.

Is the score a traditional Maya method?
No. It is our modern synthesis, explained above and on the compatibility page. We know of no documented historical Maya method for scoring couples by day sign.
